How we will fund the Development Project
The budget for the entire project is c.€3m. Much of the funding is coming from the Department of Justice run IIP programme. TCRFC has also applied to the IRFU for assistance from the Inclusive Facilities programme and we have also applied to the Sports Capital Equipment Programme.
The total amount TCRFC must raise is €420,000. To date we have raised approximately on quarter of the target amount but that still leaves a significant shortfall. If we do not raise the full €420,000, we will have to return some of the IIP funding, so the pressure is on the
club to fundraise. We will commence our fundraising towards the end of February. There are two ways to support the fundraising, Buy or Donate:
Buy a brick/line on the plaque that will be a permanent fixture on the new Gym Wall. A brick/line will cost €1,000 or whatever amount a donor would like to give. There will also be a corporate brick at €5,000. There will be a maximum of 400 bricks.
Individuals who buy a brick/line can complete a tax form (SPR1 form) which will allow the club to reclaim an extra 60% of the amount if the donor is a Higher Rate taxpayer. We will have options for members to contribute by monthly payments.
TCRFC recognises that not every member can give €1,000 so there will be donation option where a member can donate an amount of their choice to the TCRFC Development Project. Anyone who donates €250 or more can complete a tax form (SPR1 form) which will allow the club to reclaim an extra 60% of the amount if the donor is a Higher Rate taxpayer.
We will have a range of options for members to access the fundraising.
