Update: DUBLIN MOVING TO LEVEL 3
“This means training can continue but we must revert to non contact training only. Matches are not allowed, but there is an exemption for elite sports.
We are awaiting clarification from the IRFU but we believe our First team can continue to play matches.
However these will be behind closed doors – so no spectators allowed. We continue to ask players and members to take care of themselves and others – wash your hands, socially distance and practice good respiratory hygiene.
These next few weeks will provide another challenge to us as we continue our attempts to manage COVID, but we hope that if we take the correct action, Dublin will return to level 2, and we will be able to enjoy rugby action again.”
Aoife O’Grady – COVID Compliance Officer – Terenure College RFC
All games tomorrow and Sunday will be called off with the exception of the two Senior Cup ties tomorrow, Dublin University v UCD and Terenure College v Clontarf, both of which will be played as scheduled but NO SPECTATORS MAY ATTEND.
