A Call To Arms
Most of you will have received this email from the club on Wednesday 15th July, outlining some of the great work that has been done over the years but also the position the Club faces currently due to the global pandemic that we all now face. The response has been terrific with 278 members contributing €50,000 between them, but we still have a long way to go.
As mentioned in the email, our club has seen great improvements in recent years, with our Vision 2020 project, resulting in a 4G pitch, two sets of floodlights and a new set of changing rooms. More recently, we have seen the renovation of the clubhouse, the resurfacing of the car park and the installation of a well to water our pitches. All fantastic achievements and progress that could not have been done without the help of our loyal members, supporters and volunteers.
Due to COVID-19, the Club needs your support and we are asking you to put your shoulder to the wheel once again.
As you know, the Club works hard to ensure that we are always able to meet our costs while allowing the club to grow. However, COVID-19 has placed huge demands on our finances. The closure of the Club and all that goes with that, has had a negative impact on our finances. It is a situation which is requires ongoing investment in the club to ensure the safety of all our members. In order to meet these unforeseen costs, we are asking you, our members, to help this cause to keep our club viable and open to all. We are seeking a €100 from each of our 1,000 members, to reach our target.
Our goal is to safeguard the future of the club and ensure that we remain one of Ireland’s outstanding community clubs, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
Please donate and stay safe.
Together we’ll get there…
