Sherry Fitzgerald – Terenure College RFC Sponsor
Sherry FitzGerald has a network of 23 owned branches in Dublin and the surrounding areas, as well as 3 owned flagship offices in Cork, Galway, Limerick and our head office. There are also 70 franchise offices throughout Ireland resulting in a total network of 97 offices. Our Terenure branch opened in 1989 and we also have local offices in Templeogue, Sundrive, Rathmines, Ranelagh and Dundrum.
What service do you provide: We specialise in Residential sales – both second hand and New Homes and are market leaders throughout Dublin and indeed nationwide. Our service offering also includes Valuations, Research and Sherry FitzGerald Financial Services which offers expert financial advice on mortgages, life insurance, pensions and investments. My colleagues in Sherry FitzGerald Lettings Fergus Lowe and Robbie Dillon both have close Terenure ties and provide lettings and management services. Sherry FitzGerald Lettings are the proud sponsor of Terenure College RFC’s Under 20’s squad.
How did you find 2020? How is 2021 going?: 2020 was a challenging year for obvious reasons! The year began with a notable boost to demand, potentially underpinned by positive news on Brexit. The onset of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown naturally slowed activity from March to June. However, once the branch network reopened on June 8th, we saw an uplift in demand for all property. Properties that had fallen through during the lockdown were re-agreed, and in most instances over the asking price.

Despite the fallout from the pandemic, residential property prices have demonstrated a remarkable degree of resilience and this has continued in 2021.
Reason for Supporting Terenure College RFC:
Sherry FitzGerald has had a long standing connection with Terenure College RFC over the years. We have several staff members who are currently involved with the club at various levels. Personally, I am a former player having joined the club in 2005 from Ballina. The club were very welcoming and I have great memories of being part of the squad which won AIL Division 2 and went on tour to Argentina in the summer of 2006. I currently coach my son’s under 8’s team on Sundays morning as part of the fantastic mini rugby set-up.
Many other Sherry FitzGerald staff members are also heavily involved with the club. Former player and Regional Director Will Moore is a familiar face in Lakelands and is the current Chairman of Rugby. His brother Nick Moore, also a regular in Lakelands, is an important member of the Terenure Branch. On the pitch, Marc Kelly from our Lucan office is part of the Senior squad. Former player Ross Williamson works in our Greystones Branch, whilst our colleague Colm Byrne from Sherry FitzGerald New Homes is a proud Terenure man. Neil Harper is a regular visitor to the clubhouse on matchdays. Deirdre Hegarty from our Ranelagh Branch is involved in coaching the Terenure Tigers. From our marketing department, Sarah Duffy’s Uncle is Marty Doyle, the 2020/2021 club president and her father, Benny Doyle is a past president. These relationships between Terenure College RFC and Sherry FitzGerald staff, along with our passion for supporting community sports clubs, are some of the reasons we are proud to continue our long association with the club.
Message to Terenure College RFC teams: We would like to wish Marc Kelly and the Senior squad every success on the pitch this year. Best wishes to all the other teams as they return to action and represent the Club at Mini’s and Youths, The Tigers, Girls & Women’s, Junior Rugby and Under 20’s. We look forward to seeing you all in Lakelands in the near future.
