All coaches are volunteers and have been Gardai vetted and have attained their coaching badges relevant to their age grade. They are encouraged to enroll in the various workshops and courses to keep up to date as modern rugby evolves.
At Terenure College RFC We strive to give the kids a firm foundation in the basic skills of the game, preparing them carefully for competitive rugby at youth and schools level. We will always put the welfare and safety of the child first at Terenure College Rugby Football Club.
Over the years our numbers have grown as we not only retain the boys and girls we start with at under 6s, but every year we attract more and more players of various ages.
We do not stream in mini rugby at Terenure College RFC. We fully abide by the IRFU guidelines and believe by not streaming at minis we retain our players and help them develop .
Our minis act as ballboys/girls, mascots for our first team and our U9s and U12s have an away trip every year. Our U12s play the very best in Cardiff Schools every year and we also celebrate Christmas with a visit from Santa to the club for our minis rugby players.
We come together as a group kids/coaches and parents at various times in the season for AIL matches, Six Nations, European and World Cup matches. The sense of club and community when the Clubhouse is full of players, parents, coaches and kids watching a game is truly special and we believe unique.
Welcome to the best community rugby club in the World.

YOUTH Rugby in Terenure RFC
Youth Rugby in Terenure College RFC is alive and well. Youth Rugby starts at under 13s and finishes at Under 18s where the players then go on to join our Under 20s. Youth Rugby is the first chance for our players to play competitive rugby and there are games at the start of the year to grade each Leinster Clubs team and place them in a league relevant to their ability.
We still retain the same ethos as we do at minis with players welfare and safety being paramount and our top priority. All coaches have their relevant age grade qualifications in coaching and every coach is Garda vetted .
Every year our own Under 13s host a European Youth Competition, were we attract teams from all over Europe. The tournament has grown into the biggest Under 13 Rugby Tournament in Europe.
We welcome all to Terenure College Rugby Football Club, especially players from non rugby schools .
This year we are running 2 Teams at Under 13s, an Under 14s team and a TY (Terenure Youth) team. This is an Under 17s team made up primarily of transition year students. We are always interested in hearing from as many players as possible from the non traditional rugby schools .
If you are thinking of taking up rugby or starting back again, Terenure College RFC is the club for you.
